Software Update 1.3 introduces new screensaver options, refined reading status bar controls, expanded Smart Dial support, mobile-optimized wireless file sharing, and further UI/UX refinements.

Screensavers

Custom screensaver images are now supported, allowing you to use your own image for both the screensaver and shutdown screen.

Transparent Screensaver mode is now available. Select a PNG with a transparent background to keep the previous screen content visible beneath the overlay when the device enters sleep mode

The clock screensaver now supports adjustable refresh frequency to minimize screen flicker during hibernation.

A landscape-style screensaver with inverted orientation support has been added for more flexible horizontal placement.

Read

A Reading Status Bar switch has been added under Reading Interface > Style > More, giving you direct control over whether the status bar appears at the bottom of the reading interface.

The status bar layout has also been updated from three columns to two. Tap the bottom left or right side of the status bar to cycle through information independently. The left side rotates through Clock + Battery, Chapter Name, and Book Title. The right side rotates through Page Number, Reading Progress, and Remaining Reading Time.

Transfer

Wirelessly transfer files between your Krono and mobile devices on the same network. The file-sharing webpage has been optimized for a better mobile experience.

Smart Dial

Smart Dial third-party scrolling has been expanded to KOReader and Pubu. Volume-key page turning must be enabled within each app's settings.

Moodi

Moodi is now supported, featuring custom key mapping and seamless mode switching.
